Cognos
Oracle 8.1 and Cognos 7.4 was installed on a laptop. When I go to start Cognos it comes up with an error
" Failed to initialize the locale data from Cognos rendition. The locale data will be taken from the operating system"
Any ideas?

The Cognos KB has a number of possibilities:

They pretty much say the same thing; launch Configuration Manager (the 7.4 version), and make sure the configuration has been applied at the root of the tree.
