Failure sending mail: The transport failed to connect to the server.
When I attempt to subscribe to a report in Reporting Services it gets the error "Failure sending mail: The transport failed to connect to the server."
In the email settings in Reporting Services Configuration Manager the SMTP Server is not the server that the Report Server is on, but is another server in the network. I can send SMTP email from that other server.
I have found this article on the subject http://msdn.microsoft.com/
Any help would be great.

It turns out I was at the wrong windows service. The problem is resolved.
