Dealing with Date in SAS v8

Hi-
I am using the SAS v8
I want to know if I can use poc SQL for date additions i.e. I want to add 365 days to a start date and creat a enddate.  Can I use the normal formart MMDDYYYY + 365 and get the last date as MMDDYYYY?
How would a program for this look like?
