Online Backup of SQLBase Server 7.5.1 S

I have been charged with Disaster Recovery design for a company running an iteration of ADP on their server that uses SQLBase Server 7.5.1 S for its databases.  Using Backup Exec 11D, I've been unable to backup the database as just a flat file (which I am sure is not the recommended process anyway).  I need to know how to best backup the database so that I can recover the server if need be, I have no prior experience with SQLBase Server, before now I had never heard of it.
