The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

CRM Client becomes unresponsive

Asked by DCTIT in CRM Software

Tags: , ,

We are experiencing some trouble with our CRM clients locking up or crashing.  It appears to happen at random on the clients without any sort of pattern that I can tell.
The clients are running Windows XP SP2 with Outlook 2003.  They all should all be up to date or very close with Windows updates.  All clients are running at least Rollup1 for CRM 3.0.  About half are running Rollup2.
What will happen is that the user will be within Outlook and using CRM and then all of the sudden the go to click on something and the CRM window will go blank. Other times the screen will show but it will stop responding to inputs.  They can go back in click on their inbox within Outlook as they would normally, but the CRM portion will be completely unresponsive.
Usually if the client closes out of Outlook and waits 10-15 seconds and then reopens Outlook, CRM will start to function again.
The web version works perfectly even if that particular user/computer is experiencing problems with the Outlook client at that time.
Unfortunately there really isnt any information in the event logs regarding what happened.
Is there a way to turn on more verbose logging or has anyone else experience this and found a solution at all?
Im not sure if I provided all of the information to you but if you need anything else just ask.
Thanks,
Joe
