A customer asked me to find a software that does this:
My customer is some kind of intermediary between manufacturers and end customers.
- They receive a request for quote from an end customer
- The have to find the manufacturers that support these list of items, and send request for quotes to them
- After all manufacturers reply they have to consolidate 1 quote back to the customer, with the best prices from different manufacturers.
So basically what the software has to do is
- Manage suppliers and customers
- Manage customer's requests
- Send Request to suppliers
- Choose response from 1 or more supplier
- Consolidate responses into 1 quote back to the customer
I tested some ERPs and CRM...for example:
- vtiger: It's a CRM and you are able to send quotes to customers. I think you are able to send quotes to suppliers. But I don't think you can link quotes' suppliers with customers'
- OpenBravo ERP: I find quite complicated to use and I am not sure how you could do any of the above.
I need something, if possible open source (to customize or hire someone to do it), and not something you have to build from scratch.
