At first glance, it looks like the free version of SugarCRM (the Community Edition) does not include reporting, whereas vTiger does. Is that correct?
What other considerations should I have when choosing between SugarCRM and vTiger?

Hi
I don't know SugarCRM well, but vtiger does have some reports (haven't tested the yet)
vtiger's code is really messy, especially the pdf generation (invoices etc.) is annoying to customize. And believe me you will customize it to fit your corporate identity (there are some plugins around which help)
Like I said I don't know if SugarCRM has better code taken the fact that vtiger uses code from SugarCRM.
Another thing is vtiger's community which is not very helpful. I know it's opensource and all, but I know many opensource projects which have great support and community.
You see at the moment I'm not very pleased with vtiger.
if you are ok with a "default" vtiger, it's a good tool. but if you want to customize something or you have questions, it can get quite annoying.
