salesforce web to lead problem

Help! I have an asp form that submits perfectly using the SFDC Web to Lead functionality. Until...I attach my asp master page, which contains an asp menu control that requires to be inside a <form>. So, although the form fields for SFDC submission ARE within a <form> tag - that <form> starts and ends in the master page.

When I submit the form - the lead goes into SFDC but is blank (rather has [not provided] in key fields)

Any ides?
