Hi All,
We run Solaris 8 on a V440.
4 x 72 GB hard drives inside the machine
2 x 146 GB hard drives in an UltraSCSI extarnal enclosure.
2 of the 72 GB drives are close to 100% utilization (they contain ORACLE data files).
I need to copy these two 72 GB drives (/backup and /data) to the two 146 GB drives in the enclosure, and then replace the two 72GB drives with the two 146 GB drives.
Can I just use "cp -p" to copy the contents of the 72 GB drives to the 146 GB drives or is there a specific command which would be better, like dump?
Please assist.
Regards,
Jo
