I have installed Navision 5.0 (Asia Pacific) on a 64 bit server. The database is a SQL 2005. I have successfully gotten the windows authentication to work. I have also managed to get the Application Server to start running. I have given permission to a few windows entity (Administrator, NT services, etc) to the server as well as Navision.
Yet I cannot get the job queue to work. There are no error messages. The Event viewer is totally empty. The Queue Entries Log entries and the Job queue Processes are both empty.
Update 18:02/2008:
I have also changed the startuparameter to JOBQUEUE but it does not seem to trigger the Job Queue. I also found that the event viewer now has an error message.
"The description for Event ID ( 20010 ) in Source ( EXCHANGE-SQL ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: The combination of user ID and password entered is invalid. Try again.
"
Does anyone have a clue where to start troubleshoot?

The issue was due to the fact that the NT Service could not login from the Services. Once I changed the userid and password to the Administrator password, the Navision Application Server ran properly.
