SAP additonal Dialog instance installation platforms & scenario.

Hi Experts,
I got request to install dialog instance.

We have SRM TEST system running on Solaris on Oracle DB.
Both CI and DB are on same solaris host.

The requirement is to install additional Dialog instance on VMware  system against SAP SRM system running on physical host ( Solaris)

I would like to know if this can be done. using
1. Dialog instance on vmware
2. Dialog instance on Windows

Please advice at the earlist

Hi,

which SRM release do you use?
The installation of a dialog instance should not depend to the OS of the CI. So if you can get the SRM release (install media) for the windows plattform you want to use, you can install and use a windows application server with a solaris central instance.

As I know are VMs supported for sap systems now. Some times ago SAP did not allow to use VMs for productive systems.
