SAP on iSCSI?

Is anyone running production SAP on iSCSI storage? We are planning an upgrade to SAP ECC V6.0 SR03 from SR01 & are considering Dell iSCSI storage. Today our storage is FC running on an HP EVA8100.
If you are using iSCSI, are you using SATA or SAS disk shelves?
Performance & Decision making rationale would be appreciated.

Wow, that's quite a downgrade although you don't say what proportion of the EVA is used by SAP at the moment.

If Dell are trying to sell you a Equalogic iSCSI box for SAP storage go to someone else. While it may be fast on paper you have already made the investment in FC switches. iSCSI runs best on it's own spereate and dedicated network. Ask Dell for a demo unit and do some testing - I can assure you that your EVA will always be faster.

Note~ the above is all based on the assumption that your EVA is setup according to SAP and HP best practice. If not then iSCSI will likely blow it away even over a shared ethernet network.
