Which course of SAP is good start for USA job market.

HI All,
In past I have worked in technologies like: JSP, ASP, SQL Server, web development.
I am good in Databases.
Now I am trying to shift to SAP world.
Need some help in deciding that which module I should start with considering job market in USA and Los Angeles in specific.
Since everything is outsourced to India sooner or later, I want to do something which stays in USA for a longer time. Some guidance would be appreciated a lot.
