For 20 employees this outfit will host your timekeeping for $200/month.  It isn't free but the accolades are high:

Something as simple as recoding hours worked for 20 employees could easily be done with MS Access. With a little effort, you could create your own database to track the employee's.

clicktime is very expensive. But agree it has too many features.

I recently came to know about MYOB. but i am not sure. if it has features like to create (roster, access timesheet online bla bla )

How do small firm keep the records of  the employees ?. I am sure there are better once

Gssc1414
I agree with you.I use to be good with Access but not anymore. It will be hard for me spend time to make to provide information to some one to create for me

I seriously doubt you'll find anything decent for free. Most major accounting programs (Quickbooks, et al) do this to some extent, but their focus is on the monetary side. If you're also looking for scheduling ... well there are a LOT of those around so it's hard to even make a recommendation. For my money, I'd look into the accounting packages like QB, MYBO, etc

Is it seven days a week?

>as every one work other places they end up like this
9.30 ---7pm  7 til 11pm
or 9.30 2pm 2 till 11pm<

meaning one person works from 9:30am to 7:00pm instead of 9:30am  to 4:00 pm and another works from 7:00pm to 11:00pm??

similar for the second record??

i am  utilizing the gmail /document option. (to some stage it working fine. and  employee can see their roster in excel from their home and sending me email if they need to change.. )

You asked for recommendations for software, and that's what you received. Unfortunately none were what you're looking for, but the fact remains that your question was answered and you should award points and close this yourself.

have any of you guys think about creating such a product in access there is a market for it.

by: LSMConsultingPosted on 2008-12-07 at 04:54:38ID: 23115611

There are markets for it, but there are a LOT of applications that already do this (just not free ones) - pretty much any application that can handle payroll would be able to do this, or any app that could do scheduling.

by: tristan69Posted on 2008-12-07 at 06:24:48ID: 23115861

Yes but I was talking about an Access one where users can better it and design there own reports.
I put it to you that there is a great market for anyone who designs one of these programs in Access.
