Very difficult to tell, especially it depends on the Company, SAP is definatly a good point judging by the average Salery SAP Consultants and Developers get as opposed to others.
However as sunnycoder points out its very much down to preference. Consultant jobs involve lot of onsite client interaction, which can be very tedious and very far removed from actuall technical work and more to do with poletics. Don't forget to account for the amount of travel involved with that.

This is a very open ended question ... what are your preferences, interests and inclinations?
There are no shortcuts in any career ... if you wish to be on top in anything you have to work your way up the ladder. So better choose something that you like doing - after all you would be doing it all your life!!!
