Baground jobs are failing ? In SAP

if all the scheduled baground jobs are failing where to look for the problem ?

if some particulart BTC jobs are failing where to look for the problem ?

Have you tried the function module BP_JOBLOG_SHOW to display a job log?

Please check transaction ST22 for dumps regarding to the abborting jobs.
Please check transaction SM37 and the job log for analysis.
Please check transaction SM21 if there are messages regarding to the abborted jobs.
Please check the dev_<nr> file in transaction ST11 if there is more information in it from the regarding to the workprocessnumber you found in SM21 regarding to the abborted job.

Please check for locked users as well (transaction rsusr200)

If all jobs are failling please check the sm50 if there are BTC processes configured. (If not please check RZ10 to do so.)

If ALL jobs are failing, then presumably, you have a problem with one of two things: 1) Diskspace or other incident not allowing you to run updates/changes on the DB, or 2) no scheduled background jobs as has been previously stated.

In either event, check the systemlog (SM21) for errors.

If only a few jobs are failing, then the error can be either a filled tablespace, a deleted user or similar. Try looking at first the systemlog (SM21), and then the job log (SM37). One of these should give you the result

If a specific TYPE of jobs are failing, like say, transport jobs, jobs using RFC calls, or similar, then presumably, the application they're supposed to be talking with cannot be reached. Try working with the application guys to figure out what's wrong.
