The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not?   • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Cache for tempdb

Hi,

I have ASE 12.5.4 running on Linux. I have created ramfs device and put several tempdb on this device. So, these temporary databases should exist only in RAM. And I'm wondering, if I can prevent them from using another RAM from cache. So my idea is to create very small cache (several kB) for each tempdb - this way they will be separated from main big cache. I know, that this can be done, I'd just like to hear your opinion, if this is good idea.
