How to move DB2 UDB database from one machine to another

hi,

how can i move db2 database from one machine to another, just needed it move from this old machine to new shiny one. both run win 2000.

also any special considerations to be taken if spatial extender is enabled for the database

thanks for the detailed explanation.

one question though, the new machine already has one fixpack level high than old one.
what should i do? should i install fixpack on the old machine to make it match as new machine before i move the database?

yes that is a good idea, but before you install the fixpack on the old machine, make a backup of the database first just in case anything should go wrong with the fixpack upgrade on the old machine.
