How to check if table is open?
How can I check if a table is open in Access?
What do you mean by open? A edit, append, delete on a particular record?

I have opened a table with DoCmd.Open.
I'd like to know if it the user has closed it, and if not, ask them to do so or warn them that I am about to do so.
Basically, I can't do anything to that recordset since the table is being used by the user right.

You'll want to check 'syscmd' function to determine the state of the table object.

Awesome! Thanks Staszko. It worked well for me. I was unaware of the CurrentData object.
