Past record viewing based on group or user security level

Greetings All,

I just finished working on a little database to assist me in record keeping at work. Only 2 groups of users will be able to access the database. I am looking for the easiest way to prohibit 1 group from viewing past records based on "group" security yet allowing that same group the premission to write "new" records. I would love for the second group to have full access but thats secondary at the moment.
I have yet to get this far in my Access 2000 MOUS core class and was hoping to "show" the boss the new database in the next few weeks. Any hint tips or tricks will be greatly appreciated.
