Object Corruption w/in MS-Access 2000 Database

I am an experienced programmer using MS-Access 2000 Version 9.0.3821 SR-1 to develop a small multi-user application. I have encountered a puzzling situation, that appears to be "object corruption", that will not repair using the Compact & Repair feature. I have tried creating a new database, importing all the objects from the old into the new to no avail. No single action or group of actions trigger the corruption, it is quite intermittent. The database corruption reveals its self as an error message (The instruction at "0x77fcb375" Referenced Memory at "0x0020001f". The memory could not be read.), a faulty Compact & Repair operation (the compacting operation appears to have completed with the database object reappearing in the Access window--but the hourglass and completion meter continue to be appear, indefinitely.) and the inability to open & view any DB objects. The problem has appeared on at least four different user machines on varying days. The data volume is small and the number of objects are few. Security is not involked. We are using computers with RAM memory ranging from 512mb-1gb. I am not able to restore back far enough to get a clean version. I have no clue as to how it became corrupted. I am out of options unless MS has a "Super Database Scrubber".
