Flash object in MS Access 2000 form runs slowly

Hi all,

my problem is that when I use an Activex Shockwave Flash Object in a form and display it, the movie runs really slow. I've tried it (the same .swf file) in Powerpoint and it runs really cool and smooth, the same in Internet Explorer, but there's no way to make it work properly in Access. I've tried with almost every customizable parameter with no results. Now, if I right click the Flash banner (so the Flash menu is displayed) the Flash movie runs perfectly... weird uh?

Any ideas? Thanks to all in advance.

do you have a lot of other controls on the form? May be a resources prob. maybe when you click on the thing the player takes full resources and when you don't it's sharing with the form

try the thing with only the control on a blank form...any diference?

ASKER

I found a solution: what I did, I created a text box which takes 0 and 1 values switching the value on Timer. I made it not visible and just by switching that value in the background the flash object manages to run smoothly. Don't ask me why, folks :) .
hehe...that's a solution i can appreciate...makes no sense and yet works :)

remember to post in community support and ask for the q to be paq'ed and points refunded
