What is the Access 2000 database size limit and what happens when it's reached? Thanks.

You could divide your database by Year for example

MASTER2005 (in Masterfile2004.mdb) -> will contain the current Year

MASTER_2004 (in Masterfile2004.mdb) -> will contain the Previous Year

etc.

This is to reduce the size of your database, as they've suggested.

then create a Masterfile.mdb linking all the tables from several .mdb files (above)

- this might be one of the workarounds in managing your data, while planning to buy an expensive data server...
