Which Windows account is the Oracle service set to start with? Â It is normally "Local system", but you can change this if necessary. Â If you are not sure, choose: Start, Settings, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services, then right-click on the Oracle service for your SID, choose Properties, and go to the Logon tab. Â
Almost perfect ;) However, what's the possible of causing Oracle service not running? I follow the step to create a database, then i also manually start the Oracle service from Server Console (Windows), the Oracle service wont run.
How do i delete/recreate the Oracle service manually? I tried:
oradim -delete -sid <sid>
is this the correct command?
Also, i facing problem of "protocol adapter" error when i trying to execute "connect / as sysdba "Â statement, any reason why?

"UAT" stands for User Acceptance Test, basically it mean the server is a Test Server. The server did runs other applications, including pcAnywhere, etc. Is that possible this cause by the Windows Service setting, instead of Oracle Service (SID) Setting?

Oracle is an object-relational database management system. It supports a large number of languages and application development frameworks. Its primary languages are SQL, PL/SQL and Java, but it also includes support for C and C++. Oracle also has its own enterprise modules and application server software.
