we just virtualized our sql server development box and installed SQL Server 2005 standard edition. Previously we were running sql server 2000. We moved over all the databases and I setup the logins for the database...same as they were before.
I tried to run one of the apps and recieved the following error message:
Login failed for user 'login_name'. Reason: The password of the account must be changed.
so, I went to the security node and drilled down into the properties for that login. I tried to uncheck 'Enforce password policy' and 'Enforce password Expiration'.
Then I recieved this error:
TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio

----

I'm not sure what is going on? Something to do with user group policies on the box, maybe?? I'm not a network administration, so I'm randomly guessing?
Any help with this is appreciated.
Thanks.
