ClickOnce  - known problems?

We are considering building an application to be used by central office & field staff (laptops) who will not have Internet access much of the time.  What known development and deployment problems should know about?
SERVER: SQL Server 2005,IIS, SharePoint
LAPTOPS: SQL Server 2005 Express, Merge replication, SharePoint
C#, .NET, integration on both platforms with Excel, Outlook, Word
