It seems that "apple" wants everybody to use their I-tunes and buy the music from them. But what about someone who has a CD collection that they want to put on a IPOD? I am a very detailed person - I will not accept just copying my CDs into the IPOD - I want to put them in MP3 format and have all album art and info tagged to the songs. I don't want to use the apple format - unless you tell me it is better than a 256mb MP3 file? The I-tunes does not seem to help here. I have downloaded some software to rip the files and even found a program that will find the album art and install the tags as well and re-name the files good. But I cannot seem to make this all work together. Can somebody please explain the order in which I should do this and what software you recommend? I am currently using "blazemp" and "tag tuner"... and trying to make the files before putting them in the I-tunes playlist. It just isn't working. I can get the music on with no art ot tags - but I cannot seem to get the tags on the files first? I amhaving trouble getting the CDs copied to the computer and then getting the tags applied, etc. All the help you can offer is much needed.
Thanks,
