Windows Media Video 9 Image V2 (WVP2) codec error

Trying to view a movie created in Microsoft Photo Story 3.
Running XPSP3 & Media Player 11

Windows Media Player 11 loads, asks to install "Windows Media Player Codec" - Click Install
Returns error :

"a codec is required to play this file. To determine if this codec is avaliable to download from the Web, click Web Help"

Click Web Help - Microsoft site says:

You've encountered error message C00D10D1 while using Windows Media Player. The following information might help you troubleshoot the issue.

Codec is missing
Windows Media Player cannot play the file (or cannot play either the audio or video portion of the file) because the Windows Media Video 9 Image v2 (WVP2) codec is not installed on your computer.

The missing codec might be available to download from the Internet. To search for the Windows Media Video 9 Image v2 (WVP2) codec, see WMPlugins.com. "

This only has codec for Windows Media Player 7.1 Windows 98, ME & 2000
Codec for Windows Media Player 6.4

Have seen this before with a different Microsoft Media Video 9 codec, and gave up in the end
