Browse All TopicsHi,
I've DVR'ed some live TV using Windows 7 Media Center and now wish to do some editing and save some snippets of the shows, not the whole thing. I don't see that Media Center provides this functionality itself.
Is there a plugin that allows us to edit things right in Media Center, or something that will translate Media Center recorded programs to video file types that can be edited by other software (Windows Movie Maker, for instance)?
Thanks!

Is there a plugin that allows us to edit things right in Media Center<< well what does windows media center offer in the way of of tools that will burn to DVD cts/aftere ffects/ ers.net/Tu torials/ /topic3092 84.html ish/video_ avi2dvd_ne rovision2. php roducts/al lproducts. html
That's where you'll find the video editing stuff with your DVD burner.
What type of editing? Splicing adding in effects menues chapters?
What's your desired outcome? DVD ?
( what's the format) since they are captured you choose the output format right?
What software do you currently have for video?
If these DVR'd video files are on the hard drive, in a suitable format such as mpeg or avi
not a saved project << you should be able to edit in the any tool that offers a video timeline,
not a user of windows 7 but I'd say being a MS product
