Restoring Itunes & Restoring Genre

I backed up 50GB Itunes library before doing a Windows reinstall, and copied it back to the new installation. I also copied over the .itl and .xml files. The problem I am having now is that the genre is missing from all the songs - next to each song in the genre column is the word "genre". Is there any way to get back the original classification so the customer does not have to go through all the music and reclassify it as rock, jazz, etc? Or maybe there's a way to automatically download and update the genre? Any help from the Itunes experts is very much appreciated.Start Free Trial
