Best mic preamp for computer?
I have a client who wants to get into computer recording of voice. They have some really nice condenser microphones with XLR connections.
What are the best microphone preamps for computers? What kind of quality can you expect out of these? How much do they cost? What are the best for under 500.00?

then what i suggested above is suitable. when i said "something like this", be aware that there are many manufacturers that compete in this product type. i've had experience with similar models to the one above. watch out for small name's that dont carry many other products. u dont want to get stuck with a rubbish product. a large, good music store that stocks Pro Audio gear should be able to assist you with sound advice.

if it's just voice then the above should do. i assume ur using a pro mic? like a Sure SM58?
