Browse All TopicsHello, I need some help setting up my flash media interactive server.
I'm using adobe flash media interactive server 3.5 on a Linux Red Hat Fedora Core 7.
The installation went fine, but when i tried to start the server, it shows:
Server:fms command:start
NPTL 2.6
Starting Adobe Flash Media Server (please check /var/log/messages)
Error: Flash Media Server needs the NSPR library installed.
I guess i need to install this NSPR (Netscape Portable Runtime) library
But i'm kind of new on this kind of stuff, so it would be great if some one can walk me through this. I checked out their site
http://www.mozilla.org/pro
but the lack of instructions on this has made me very annoyed.
I guess what i want to know is how to install this and where to install this.
again i'm very new on linux, and if you can, could you please provide commands for me to install this step by step? thanks in advance.

It didn't ask for an nspr rpm to be installed during setup?
check the CENTOS 5.3 CD look for the nspr package.
Or if you also configured for updating through yum, '
yum install nspr'
should get you your library.
If you are looking for RPM's (redhat package manager) kits the next site is a good source:
http://rpm.pbone.net/
If you search there for an RPM by the name of nspr you will see there is an original 4.7.3.... and an update 4.7.4.
