Can't stop Quicktime recording, can't open file either

Quicktime is recording video from my camera right now. I try to stop it but it doesn't. The stop button stays a stop button and the counter in the right corner keeps increasing. I can't open the file the video should be in. It says permission denied and the file info says it is 0 kb. Is my actual video somewhere else on my system? I really need this recording. Closing Quicktime with the red button doesn't work. With previous recordings when I accidentally shut the camera off or when battery went low the recording stopped and everything before that point was still there. Can I simply turn off the camera? Can I force quit Quicktime? Free space on the drive is decreasing, so it must be writing its data somewhere.Start Free Trial
