I have not burned a CD in over 5 years and never a DVD. I'm ready to start now (I think it's time since my table top DVD recorder from 2006 is still in the box and obsolete probably by now - I'll use that for VHS transfer), so I'll go question by question. I've got Real Player and Nero 7.0.
I'm not looking for alternatives right now, I want to get a audio and video disc from my Real Player library, play them everywhere there is to play them (devices) and then take a look at alternatives to quality, etc.
My Real Player, in conjunction with a website, allowed downloading of some videos. I've got these 5 videos in my Real Player library. I have Nero 7.0 on my system and I opened the burn/transfer window.
My basic questions here are:
Real Player downloaded these videos as Flash Video files.
1. it appears that the volumes were downloaded based on the same volumes that were playing on the website videos. Right? One was low, no matter how high I adjusted the volume and 1-2 were too high and had to be adjusted downward in volume. So, all 5 are slightly different volumes.
2. I'm going to first burn an audio disc. Will Nero adjust the volumes for me or will I need to do it manually when using the burning software? One of the videos is a little low in volume. I'd want that one higher in volume and not the other 4 adjusted to match the lower one. It is a bit too low.
3. How close to the actual website video quality has Real Player downloaded these videos and how close to the actual Real Player quality will Nero burn them? And can I expect that same quality when playing on external devices?
4. A previous question brought up the subject of resolution. How do I know the resolution of the videos on the website, the resolution Real Player downloaded with (or to) and what about Nero? Will the final product, after transfer, be the same resolution as the original videos from the website?
5. Will Nero change the Flash files to some other type of file automatically? to what? why? Or do I do that myself some how and what type files do I need to hopefully play on a table top DVD or CD player, car player, portable player or computer?
