With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Codec Problem with windows media player

I'm trying to play a wav file that will not play in windows media player or quicktime, it is a .wav file and windows media player tells me it is a codec problem.

Codec is missing
Windows Media Player cannot play the file (or cannot play either the audio or video portion of the file) because the Comverse Infosys G723.1 (A100) codec is not installed on your computer.

The missing codec might be available to download from the Internet. To search for the Comverse Infosys G723.1 (A100) codec, go to the WMPlugins.com Web site.

 I've searched all wmplugins.com and google for the Comverse Infosys g723.1 codec but can not find the codec.  I've installed the k-lite codec pack.   Anybody have the codec or know where I can get it.
