Windows Media Encoder 9 Audio Problem

Asked by comporium in Windows XP Operating System, Windows Media Player

Tags: Windows Media Encoder 9, Audio Problem

I'm trying to create a Training Video and am having trouble with the audio when using the Capture Screen feature in Windows Media Encoder 9.

I am running Windows XP Professional SP3, on a Lenovo Thinkpad T500.

I take the screen capture and choose to record audio while capturing and when I play the .wmv file back (have tried in both Windows Media Player and VLC) 10 seconds into the video, the audio skips/fast forwards/jumbles/makes my voice sound like a robot...  I imported the video into Movie Maker to see if I could make any sense of it, and the entire video creates 3 sections.  Both sections 2 and 3 the audio is fine, it's just the first section that has the issues listed above.

I have also swapped headsets to see if that was affecting the final piece and both videos taken were the same.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
