What would be a good system for him, 12Mpix-20Mpix, 18/24mm - 100/200mm. It needs to be purchased in a local store in Chicago (BestBUy, Ritz Camera, etc...) and maybe a speedlite. It can be Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Minolta, Sony, etc...
I am leaning towards Canon 50D with EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens $1,400 and
Canon - 17-40mm f/4L USM Ultrawide Zoom Lens for $820.
He will not be doing professional photography, camera will be used in Europe.
Suggestions appreciated.
