Well, I'm looking into either corel videostudio pro x2 or Sony movie studio platinum. I am currently downloading the sony software.... Which do you think is better of the two? I'm going for a whole lot of ease of use...

Browse All TopicsThe software that was supplied with my camcorder doesn't support vista x64, and am looking to get new software to edit my videos, but i need to know how to import the videos off of the camcorder. I know how to locate my files on the camcorder, and copy/paste , but I want to know how to actually import them. There isn't an autoplay feature in the autoplay menu. I need something very easy. the person who will be doing the actual importing isn't exactly computer savy. Thanks in advance!

I think it ultimately just comes down to the features each one has. Both of those pieces of software seem to be very well reviewed in all of the reviews I just checked (they both regularly received 9/10).
I've heard that Corel Video Studio X2 is very easy to use, and quite intuitive, so that would be my advice.

The process you outline of navigating to the location of the videos on the camcorder (while it's hooked up to your computer) and copying/pasting them onto your hard drive IS importing them.
If you're talking about actually importing the video files into a video editor, then that's a bit different, and I'd need to know which video editor you use.
