Hi! I'm wondering which lens would be best for a) panorama shots, wide angle shots, and b) 360 degree virtual tours. I'm using a Canon EOS 400d digital SLR camera and I'm kinda looking for a fair compromise between quality and price.
I have experience with photo stitching using two 180 degree photos, taken with a fisheye lens, to make virtual tours for websites, but have never actually taken any shots before. From what I understand, using a fisheye lens is pretty simple and only requires 2 shots, but produces somewhat distorted photos, whereas a non-fisheye wide angle lens produces better quality, but is more complicated as more shots are required?
My goal is to find a fairly cheap lens with decent enough quality as I'm just beginning and maybe upgrade to a better lens once I have some experience.
