Retrieve Messages from Cell Phone

I am clueless as to how to retrieve messages from a cell phone that has no USB connection.  It is a Sanyo.  Any ideas?  Anyone faced this before?

It is a SPH M630 SAMSUNG HIGH NOTE ... I just found out from the client, and this means that it DOES have USB.

Many cell phones don't back up text messages (SMS msgs). However, if your question is resolved by knowing the model, you can click on the "Request Attention" link and ask that this question be closed.

Actually, the text messages still exist.  I think that the purpose is for legal representation of the messages (in some sort of printable or presentable format).

Well, at a minimum, you are going to need the correct data cable, the drivers (can be downloaded from Samsung's website), and a copy of Bitpim (http://www.bitpim.org/).
