CD drives will not recognize blank CDs

My computer is equiped with 1 SAMSUNG DVD-ROM SD-616E CD-Rom drive and 1 TEAC DVD+RW DVD -W58E CD-Rom Drive neither will detect a blank CD.  I am using XP Pro. I've checked for driver updates and none are available.  When I check the status of the drives in device manager they indicate that they are both functioning properly. How can I fix this problem?Start Free Trial
