Burning CDs in Vista using Explorer fails, but using Roxio works

Hello community:

Have a client with a brand new Latitude D830 running SP1 Vista Ultimate with AVG Internet Security 7.5 (firewall is set to allow all, essentially it is off). This computer has a TS-L632H 8x DVD burner (with latest D500 firmware) and the client tried burning CD-Rs with photos using the Explorer built-in burning process. The discs were readable by his laptop UNTIL the completion process was run upon ejection. After that, the disc was unreadable by any computer (including his laptop). Roxio software included with the machine DOES work on both his and other computers. Has anyone run into this strange situation? Dell recommended a Vista repair process, which the client is not happy about considering the laptop is only couple weeks old.Start Free Trial
