I am trying to figure out how to get the player in folder mode. the manual talks about folder mode over and over but i cannot find where is explains how to get into this mode. I have a disc with folders on it that contains MP3 files. the manual says that it can open the folders and play the MP3 files. When i load the disc i try to search for folders using the folder button on the player but i get a no folder message along with a bad disc message and the disc ejects automatically. If there is anyone that knows how to get the player into folder mode please explain.
Thanks

I suspect this may be a CD filesystem issue, what CD filesystem are you burning this in? (Iso9660, joliet, etc)
One thing you also may want to check is the length and content of your file names. Some mp3 playing cd decks can balk at long file names or names containing odd characters. I suggest standardizing your file names to just contain letters, spaces, and dashes if possible, at least to see if that solves the issue. Try making file names shorter as well.

I dont know about your player in the car, what format are you burning the cd in? There is there choices audio discs mp3 and data.
if it supports MP3 or data discs just make sure that the audio files in the folders donot have strange names and no dupliactes and are all mp3 no mixed..
just drag and drop the folders to the cd as data discs. mp3
