i cant burn audio cd, and cant play only audio cds

hi i cant burn audio cd in windows xp and vista, im using nero 8.0,
(i tired with nero express, nero rom)
even i cant play the audio cd in my dvd, wht is the reason.
i try playing windows media players, vlc player, itunes, etc, but audio wont cd will not play in my laptop

but i can play audio cd player, not computer based.....

wht should i have to do now

hmm can't say I understand the problem here.
have you checked the user manuals?
look in the start menue all programs Nero / manuals in PDF
I have nero 7 ultimate so it may differ slightly.
I'll just run the steps by you
You have a selection of mp3 on your hard disc.
These mp3 donot belong to itunes or Real.
You are not ripping them from another disc?
open Nero smart start
ensure the top panel has CD in it not DVD
then you'll see a selection of audio discs nero offers
You can use the data disc which is like an mp3 disc retains the format mp3 playable on dvd players cd players some car stereos.
or an audio disc which converts the mp3 to CDA.
Playable on anything.
Select Audio disc and then a new window opens drag and drop your mp3 on
put your CD-R in the rom drive and hit burn.
Finalise the disc if you dont wish to add more later on.
if you leave the disc open it may not play on anything but the computer
Don't exceed 690 megs
