Enable dual monitor setup using ATI component DVI  adapter ?

I have an ATI Radeon x850 adapter and I just purchased the ATI  DVI to component adapter.

I am desiring to send the 2nd monitor signal to a Panasonic HD projection TV (old school, analog).
I have the configuration currently working using S-Video as the 2nd monitor.
The adapter is supposed to allow me to use the 2nd DVI port as the TV monitor, however, the drivers don't detect a 2nd display there.  I can't find an acutal x850 manual on ATI's site.
