Cannot dual display properly with Sylvania 6626LG 26" LCD

Asked by rickpref in Televisions, Windows Vista

My notebook is a Dell M1330 with HDMI connection and an NVidia 8400GS video card running Vista Ultimate.

I have tried to get the TV to display properly but it is always just a little bit too expanded and I miss the outer edges.

I once was able to get it working but the notebook was damaged and Dell sent me a new one.  Since then, I just can't figure it out and also, I have seen it happen on 2 other TV's.  There has to be a setting in the NVidia control panel that I am missing but I can't find it.

On very expensive TV's (Sony Bravia, Sharp Aquos) you connect and it is ready.  But on lower end TV's....I don't know, I can't remember what I did the last time.

Thanks,
