Inputs on LCD TV not working, possibly fried from a surge; any recommendations?

My just out-of-warranty Westinghouse 30 inch HD LCD TV stopped accepting cable signals.  We may have had a surge (no protector on the TV), but no other electronics were affected.  Verizon FIOS guy out here for 2 hours yesterday, and we determined that it's the TV's inputs.

Called Westinghouse - no local service center & I'm sure the fix will cost almost as much as a new one.  Before I do that, has anyone heard of such a thing and is there anything I can do to try to fix the inputs (at least the HDMI or Components)? ThanksStart Free Trial
