How do I change the resolution of a Mac Mini (Intel) to 1024 x 768 to match my panasonic plasma?

Asked by kcbayandor1966 in Televisions, Video Cards, Leopard (MAC OS 10.5)

I have a Mac Mini running OS X Leopard and attached to a 1024 x 768 panasonic plasma display.

I can get the correct resolution using the VGA port.

I would prefer to I use the DVI port of the Mac and plus into the HDMI port on my plasma as the HDMI port gives a great picture- the VGA port gives an average picture at best.

Can anybody help me to force the above resolution onto the Mac? For the time being, I am using 800 x 600 with overscan- which cuts out the top part of the screen.
