hisense lcdtv black screen no sound

I have a HiSense LCD TV model no. TL1700.  When I turn the tv on, the power button turns blue like normal, but a black screen with no sound is what I get. I thought it might be on child lock, because in the book it says that If you get a black screen, then child lock is on and you press lock on the remote to turn it off. When I do that nothing changes. Please
