Tivo Single Tuner with LIfetime subscription to Tivo Dual? Is it possible?

I currently have a TIVO single tuner DVR with a lifetime subscription. I'm wondering is there a way for me to convert it to a dual tuner without compromising the lifetime subscription? Is this possible and how do I do it?
